What a crappy way to end her successful run on The View!
Rosie O’Donnell is behaving like a big baby and letting her emotions get the best of her.
The head of ABC Daytime Television released this statement on Friday afternoon, saying:
“We had hoped that Rosie would be with us until the end of her contract three weeks from now, but Rosie has informed us that she would like an early leave. Therefore, we part ways, thank her for her tremendous contribution to The View and wish her well.”
The View co-host and executive producer Barbara Walters said, “I brought Rosie to the show. Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at The View. I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change.”
And, O’Donnell herself said, “I’m extremely grateful. It’s been an amazing year and I love all three women.”
During Rosie’s year on The View, ratings increased by almost 20% and the show became relevant in the national discourse.
O’Donnell’s early exit sucks. Period!
