As Joe Francis continues to rot away in a prison cell in Florida, his imminent release is met with bittersweet news.

A federal judge ruled Thursday that the Girls Gone Wild impresario should be sent to Nevada to face tax evasion charges there once he finishes serving a jail sentence for contempt of court in Florida.

Francis is expected to be released from custody on Tuesday after having served 35 days. Florida prosecutors want Francis to remain in custody for unresolved 2003 criminal charges involving the filming of minors in sexual situations on Panama City Beach.

But Federal Magistrate Judge Larry Bodiford ruled that Francis should first face federal tax evasion charges in Reno, Nevada.

A Florida state attorney plans to appeal that rule.

Either way you paint this, Joe’s tattered canvas is splattered with poo. And his expensive lawyers seem to be doing no good!
